FS Rowlands commenced trading in 1924 from offices in Newcastle. In 1957 the expansion began with the acquisition of Myers and Young in Crook. In 1975, the Chester-le-Street office opened from which the consolidation of the business began. The firm has expanded since that time through merger and organic growth and in 2005 the firm moved into new offices in Portobello, Birtley. Through its insolvency arm Taylor Rowlands, it offers excellent turnaround and business recovery services from its Yarm Office. 2006 saw the merger with David Coates in Hexham and in February 2007, Rowlands took over Robsons of Ponteland to extend their presence on Tyneside and the Tyne Valley. The firm now has around 90 staff including 8 partners and other qualified chartered and certified accountant staff. You'll see the difference with Rowlands. |
